About Us

Lifehouse Maternity Home is a voluntary, residential program serving pregnant women and teens who are in crisis. The women we serve are often recovering from addiction; escaping domestic violence or trafficking; are homeless; or have a history of abuse, neglect, foster care, sexual violence or other trauma. For most, pregnancy is the tipping point to send them searching for help.
Lifehouse welcomed its first resident in 2008. Since that time, Lifehouse has been home to hundreds of expectant moms, meeting their needs of food and shelter, and our research-proven our Lifepath program. Lifepath is designed to walk residents through pregnancy, childbirth, infant and child development, parenting, life-skills development, job readiness, money-management, and building healthy relationships; all while transitioning to greater independence and self-support. Most importantly residents will develop or deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Lifehouse is more than just housing. Our program is personalized, connecting residents to lessons specific for her needs. Whether that is completing high school or GED, participating in counseling to heal trauma, breaking the hold of addiction through a drug recovery program, or making the loving choice of an adoption plan for her child. Our residents are required to be employed and/or in school; participate in Bible study, nightly devotion and weekly church attendance. We also connect residents to proper medical care during and after pregnancy.
Lifehouse expanded its footprint in 2014, adding six transitional apartments. We can now serve six pregnant and six parenting moms, all under one roof. Residents may live at Lifehouse for up to four years, allowing time to pursue college degree, trade, or stable employment. Residents continue learning valuable life-skills with the goal of creating meaningful change at a deeper level in their lives, ultimately ending the cycle of generational poverty and social services dependency.
